ECO-OS is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.

This privacy policy sets out how ECO-OS uses and protects any information that you give ECO-OS when you use this website. If you use our application we also suggest you review our User License Agreement <link>. Should you choose to contact us using this website, we may ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. ECO-OS may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from January 2016.

 

What we collect

We may collect the following information: name and job title, contact information including email address, demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

 

Use and control of the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons: internal record keeping;  we may use the information to improve our products and services; we may periodically send promotional email about product upgrades, new products, special offers, new developments and activities at ECO-OS or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided; from time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail; we may use the information to customize the website according to your interests. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

We may transfer personal information which users in the European Union provide to us to other countries, the data protection laws of which may differ from those of the European Union, and you expressly agree to such transfer.

You can request us to remove your personal information at any time by sending an email message. If you believe that any information we are holding is incorrect, not allowed to be used or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

 

How we use cookies

ECO-OS Terms of Service

By using the ECO-OS website and other services provided by ECO-OS ( the “Service”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

Account Terms

  1. The Service was designed to help you assemble and utilize environmental and social data.

  2. You must provide your real name, email address and any other information requested during the signup process.

  3. Your login credentials can only be used by one person. You may create as many user accounts as your plan allows.

  4. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.

 

Payment Terms

  1. All fees are exclusive of all applicable taxes and duties and you would be responsible for paying any such additional fees, if applicable.

  2. Unless you notify the Service before the end of the applicable subscription period that you want to cancel the service, your subscription will automatically renew and you authorize us to collect the then-applicable fee using any credit card or other payment mechanism we have on record for you.

  3. Prices of the Service may change at any time by providing a 30 day notice via email or by posting on the the Service website, unless otherwise specified by the agreement under which your user account was supplied.

 

Cancellation and Termination

  1. You may cancel your account at any time. An email request to cancel your account would be considered a cancellation.

  2. All the content you provided will be downloaded and will be made available to you in a standard digital format (e.g. CSV), unless otherwise specified by the agreement under which your user account was supplied.

  3. All of the content you’ve directly uploaded will be removed from the service upon cancellation, unless otherwise specified by the agreement under which your user account was supplied.

  4. The Service reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate your account for reasons of unlawful use or abuse.

  5. In the event that the Service ceases without intent of continued operation toward already paying customers, the source code and binaries of the Service will be released as open-source to all paying customers.

 

Modification to the Service

  1. The Service reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service with or without notice.

 

Content Ownership

  1. The Service claims no intellectual property rights over the material and data you provide and upload to the Service. Your profile, data and materials uploaded remain yours.

  2. You shall defend the Service against any claim, demand, suit or proceeding made or brought against the Service by a third-party alleging that Your Content, or Your use of the Service, infringes the intellectual property rights of a third-party or violates applicable law.

  3. You understand that the Service uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology that is required to run the Service.

  4. The Service reserves the right to obtain and aggregate technical and other data about use of the Service excluding any data that could identify individual users or their institutions ("Aggregated Anonymous Data"), and the Service may use the Aggregated Anonymous Data to analyze, improve, support and operate the Service and otherwise for any business purpose, during and after the term of this Agreement, including without limitation to generate industry benchmarks or best practices guidance, recommendations or similar reports for distribution to and consumption by the Service users and prospects. For clarity, this does not give the Service the right to identify individual users or institutions as the source of any Aggregated Anonymous Data.

 

General Terms

  1. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis

  2. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service without the express written permission of the Service.
